Common Question
Is there a pressure threshold for reporting interwell communication?
Archive Findings
No. The FAQ said all interwellbore communication events had to be reported to AER regardless of pressure change.
It also directed licensees to notify the field centre and submit the hydraulic-fracturing communication event form.

Engineering Insight
Use a conservative reporting trigger. If communication is suspected, notify the affected licensee and AER promptly, then document the technical basis and operational response.
Current Guidance
Current Directive 083 includes current AER expectations for communication-event reporting and the associated form. Verify current submission details before operations.
