No. Ministerial Order 15/2025 removed the Alberta solution gas flaring limit direction, but the order stated that other Directive 060 regulatory tools would continue to apply.

Do not treat the SGFL removal as permission to flare. Operators still need the decision-tree analysis, economics, required permits, notification, vent limits, sour-gas controls, and supporting records.

Use the current edition of Directive 060 and related AER bulletins. Bulletin 2026-12 released a later Directive 060 edition after the 2025 SGFL removal.
